The 2024 logo was created by <a href=\"https:\/\/granada.wordcamp.org\/2024\/organizadores\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"12\">Ohia<\/a>, who has been leading design and web efforts this year. Her goal was to capture the essence of Granada by <strong>blending the city&#8217;s natural landscape of the province with the intricate tile designs of the Alhambra<\/strong>. The result is a logo that highlights <strong>the beauty and history <\/strong>of this iconic Spanish city and surrounding region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The earthy color palette chosen for the logo features <strong>three different shades of yellow and blue, along with green and a soft, dusty white<\/strong>: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The yellows<\/strong> symbolize the warmth of the sun and the golden tones of the region&#8217;s desert plants and natural terrain. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The blues<\/strong> echo the clear Andalusian skies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The green<\/strong> represents the lush foliage found in the Sierra Nevada mountains. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The dusty white<\/strong> is a nod to the elegant, timeworn tiles and marble that adorn the Alhambra.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/granada.wordcamp.org\/2024\/files\/2024\/09\/ceramica-artistica-granada.jpg?resize=600%2C800&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4635\" style=\"width:300px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/granada.wordcamp.org\/2024\/files\/2024\/09\/ceramica-artistica-granada.jpg?w=600&amp;ssl=1 600w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/granada.wordcamp.org\/2024\/files\/2024\/09\/ceramica-artistica-granada.jpg?resize=225%2C300&amp;ssl=1 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The shape of the logo draws inspiration from the <strong>geometric patterns of the Alhambra&#8217;s historic tiles<\/strong>, blending tradition with a modern touch. These tiles, known for their precision and symmetry, reflect Granada\u2019s rich Moorish heritage, and the logo captures this sense of <strong>timeless beauty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To celebrate the use of Google fonts in core with the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/download\/releases\/6-5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WordPress 6.5<\/a>, the <em>Aclonica<\/em> was chosen for the logo and site headings. Its resemblance to Andalucian calligraphy, <strong>brings a touch of local culture<\/strong> to the overall feel of the branding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The #WCGR24 logo is a tribute to Granada\u2019s unique charm, seamlessly merging its natural beauty with the artistic mastery of its history, people, and landmarks.
