Andando
Una vez estés en el centro de la ciudad, esta es tu mejor opción. Granada es segura, hecha para peatones y hermosa, con rinconcitos que solo vas a descubrir andando.
Tranvía «Metropolitano de Granada»
El nuevo tranvía (solo tiene un año) es la forma de moda de moverte por la ciudad. Es rápido, barato y de vez en cuando quita coches de la calzada (literalmente), peeeeero solo tenemos una línea de momento.
- Billete único: cuesta 1.35€.
- Multi-billete (tarjeta monedero): Puedes recargarlo con 5, 10 o 20€. De este modo cada billete te costaría 0.82€
Tendrás que adquirir los tickets en las máquinas de las estaciones de tranvía. En cualquier caso, deberás tener o comprar una tarjeta para recargarla, la más sencilla cuesta 0.30 € y también se puede obtener en las máquinas.
Debes validar tu billete cada vez que hagas uso del tranvía, esto se hace dentro del tranvía en las paradas normales y en los tornos de la estación en las paradas subterráneas.
Otros detalles
- Puedes usar la tarjeta «Consorcios de transportes de Andalucía», el billete te costará lo mismo que la opción Multi-billete.
- Hay un «bug» ya conocido en el sistema de tranvía. La máquina de la parada de la Estación de Autobuses se llena tanto de dinero durante el fin de semana que no admite más dinero y deja de funcionar. Prueba en la máquina al otro lado de la parada. Si esto no funciona, no tenemos ningún otro consejo legal para solucionarlo.
Bus «Transportes Rober»
La red de buses urbanos (los autobuses rojos y los grandes autobuses azules y grises) pueden llevarte desde casi cualquier lugar a casi cualquier punto. Algunas líneas tienen una buena frecuencia y velocidad, otras no tanto. Puedes utilizar la aplicación Moovit para planificar las rutas.
- Billete único: cuesta 1.40€.
- Multi-billete (tarjeta monedero «Credibus»): la tarjeta en sí cuesta 2 € y puedes recargarla con 5, 10 o 20 €. De esta manera, cada billete te costará entre 0.87 y 0.83 € (cuanto más pagas por adelantado, más barato).
Puedes comprar esto en el autobús, pagando directamente al conductor en todas las líneas, excepto en la línea 4. La línea 4 es un poco especial ya que es una «línea de alta capacidad», por lo que en este caso debes comprarlo en las máquinas en la parada de autobús.
Debes validar tu billete cada vez que tomes el autobús, esto se hace en la máquina azul que está dentro por la puerta principal (y debe entrar al autobús a través de la puerta principal y salir por las otras puertas), excepto para la línea 4. La línea 4 es un poco especial, por lo que debes validar tu billete en las máquinas en la parada de autobús (y puedes entrar y salir por cualquier puerta).
Otros detalles
- Los conductores no admiten billetes superiores a 20€.
- Puede cambiar a otras líneas de forma gratuita tantas veces como quieras en los siguientes 60 minutos después de la primera validación. Debes validar tu billete cada vez que cambies, pero será gratis.
- Puedes usar la tarjeta «Consorcios de transportes de Andalucía», en este caso el billete te costará 1.01€ y no tendrás trasbordo.
Taxi
Tenemos taxis también, no son tan caros, son seguros y la picaresca no es común. La única forma en que pueden engañarte es hacer un viaje más largo, pero como la ciudad no es tan grande, simplemente verás más lugares de nuestra hermosa ciudad y tal vez simplemente te cueste 5 € más.

Motos de alquiler
Puedes utilizar la aplicación Muving para alquilar motos eléctricas que puedes pagar por minuto. Conduce seguro y usa el casco.
Coche / Alquiler de coche
Conducir en Granada requiere algunas habilidades ya que el centro de la ciudad está lleno de personas, carriles de autobuses, cruces difíciles, lugares dónde no puedes estacionar, rotondas, tranvías que cruzan por el centro de las rotondas y lugares donde no puedes llegar con tu coche.

Alquiler de automóviles: Si vas a pernoctar fuera de la ciudad hazlo. Si vas a pernoctar dentro de la ciudad, no lo hagas, pagarás un coche alquilado y un lugar para estacionar el coche alquilado sin usarlo 😀

Walking
Once you are in the city center, this is your best option. Granada is a safe, made for pedestrians and beautiful city with spots you are only going to discover by walking.
Tram «Metropolitano de Granada»
The brand new tram (1 year old) is the fanciest way to move around the city. It is fast, cheap and convenient, buuuuut we only have one line, for now.
- Single ticket costs 1.35€.
- Multi-ticket: You can top it up with 5, 10 or 20€. This way every ticket will cost you 0.82€
You’ll have to acquire the tickets in the machines at tram stations. In either way you’ll need to have or buy a card to top it up, the simpler one costs 0.30€ and you can get it at the machine as well. All the machines are available in English.
You have to validate your ticket every time you get into the tram, this is done inside the tram in the normal stops and before getting into at the underground stops.
Other details
- You can use the «Consorcios de transportes de Andalucía» card at the tram, it will cost you the same as the Multi-ticket trip.
- There is an already know bug in the tram system. The bus station stop machine uses to get that full of money on weekends that it doesn’t admits more money and stops working. Try in the machine at the other side of the stop. It this stills doesn’t works we don’t have any other legal tip for it.
Bus «Transportes Rober»
The urban bus network (red buses and really big blue and gray buses) can take you from almost any place and take you to any point. Some lines have a good frequency and speed, some aren’t that good. You can use the Moovit app to plan your routes.
- Single ticket costs 1.40€.

- The drivers doesn’t admit bills higher than 20€.
- You can change to other lines for free as many times as you want in the following 60 minutes after first validation. You should validate your ticket every time you change but it’ll be free.
- You can use the «Consorcios de transportes de Andalucía» card at the buses, in this case it will cost you 1.01€ and you won’t be able to change to other lines for free.
Taxi
We have taxis too, those are not so expensive, are safe and picaresque is not common. The only way they can cheat you is to make a longer trip, but since the city is not that big, you’ll simply see more places in our beautiful city and it may cost you 5€ more.

Rented motorbikes
You can use the app Muving to rent electric motorbikes that you can pay per minute. Drive safe and use the helmet.
Car / Car rental
Driving in Granada requires some skills as the city center is full of people, bus lanes, tricky crosses, spots you can’t park, roundabouts, trams crossing trough the middle of roundabouts and places where you just can’t get with your car.

Car rental: If you are going to stay out of the city do it. If you are going to stay inside the city, don’t do it you’ll pay for a car rental and for a place to park your rented car without using it 😀
